Managing Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS): A Personal Journey and Practical Guide - Bullet Point Summarisation

  1. This resource is designed for individuals diagnosed with Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) following a urinary tract infection, regardless of gender.

  2. Having personally suffered from severe pain and discomfort due to CPPS, I now live virtually pain-free without the need for medication.

  3. I have compiled a comprehensive list of foods and beverages categorized as either pain-free or pain-inducing. Refer to the Cheat Sheet for details.

  4. By incorporating sodium bicarbonate capsules dissolved in water during meals, I have successfully reintroduced previously pain-inducing foods into my diet, with minor limitations.

  5. My sodium bicarbonate intake is limited to a maximum of four capsules per day. To balance sodium consumption, I reduce high-sodium foods, resulting in a lower overall sodium intake than before my diagnosis.

  6. I can now enjoy meals that once caused excruciating pain and discomfort, significantly improving my quality of life.

  7. Despite leading a healthy lifestyle before developing CPPS, this journey has deepened my understanding and appreciation of my body’s wellbeing.

Application - Bullet Point Summarisation

  1. My findings should be personally tested rather than accepted at face value. Start with a 3-4 day detox using only the pain-free ingredients listed in the Cheat Sheet. If pain levels improve, consider exploring the more detailed aspects of my approach.

  2. A selection of meal examples composed exclusively of pain-free ingredients is available under In Practice.

  3. Additionally, I provide examples of meals that incorporate both pain-free and pain-inducing ingredients, demonstrating how I dose sodium bicarbonate capsules with my water—see In Practice for details.

  4. Through careful dietary management, pain levels can be reduced to near zero, depending on an individual's willingness to make sacrifices and maintain discipline.
